Fréya Art & Design is a London based design studio established in 2009. Producing unique, joyful & beautifully crafted paper-goods, textiles & home-wares, all featuring the gorgeous designs & evocative words of artist Fréya Eté.
Fréya’s wonderfully, whimsical creations are born from a sense of pure child-like wonder and joy, & an ever optimistic view of the world. Her playful & heart warming pieces are much loved and are held in many public & private collections around the world.
The studio is very fond of our lovely world, so all Fréya’s range is produced with a strong sense of ethics and concern for the environment, without sacrificing any of our high standards of production. All products are proudly designed & hand-crafted in England, with incredible care & meticulous attention to detail at every stage of their journey.
Fréya's Ethos:
I am inspired to create simple pieces that I hope will have a positive effect on people. I just try to spread a little happiness and joy in my own small way. We live in such a busy, complicated time and sometimes it’s the smallest gesture or the simplest word that can remind us for a moment to stop and appreciate all we have and just ‘be’. I am admittedly an eternal optimist and have a deep love of this wonderful, complicated world we live in. And we are only lucky enough to enjoy it for such a short time, so it makes sense to cherish it and the people who enjoy it with us while we can.
